Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Heat the milk in a small saucepan until warm, then stir in the melted butter and the egg.
  3. Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it’s nice and smooth.
  5. Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until it doubles in size—about 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape, spread the raspberry jam over it, and roll it up tightly from the long end.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into slices and place those in a greased baking dish.
  8. Let the sliced rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they turn golden.
  10. Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth for the glaze.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve!
