Description
Delightful soft and pillowy raspberry sweet rolls drizzled with creamy glaze, perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan until warm, then stir in the melted butter and the egg.
- Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it’s nice and smooth.
- Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until it doubles in size—about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape, spread the raspberry jam over it, and roll it up tightly from the long end.
- Cut the rolled dough into slices and place those in a greased baking dish.
- Let the sliced rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they turn golden.
- Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve!
Notes
Check yeast freshness for best results, and allow proper rising time for fluffy rolls.
