Description

A comforting and hearty Rich Chicken Stroganoff with creamy sauce and tender chicken, perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent.
  2. Add the chicken strips to the pan. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they soften.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce. Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat, then stir in the sour cream. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Taste and add salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use heavy cream instead of sour cream. You can also add a pinch of paprika or chili flakes for spice.
