- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the chicken strips to the pan. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they soften.
- Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce. Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
- Reduce the heat, then stir in the sour cream. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Taste and add salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can use heavy cream instead of sour cream. You can also add a pinch of paprika or chili flakes for spice.
