Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the sourdough discard with warm water, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add flour and baking soda gradually until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll into bite-sized balls.
  6. Place the pretzel bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
