Description

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken coated in a sticky sauce, paired with chewy noodles for a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes in a bowl. Add the chicken pieces and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Coat the marinated chicken pieces evenly with cornstarch.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked through.
  4. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the chicken and pour the remaining marinade over them. Stir to combine and heat through for a couple of minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for better flavor. Serve with a squeeze of lime for brightness.
