Description
A delightful explosion of flavors with marinated chicken thighs served over fluffy rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Green onions, sliced for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Mix the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they get fully coated. Let this sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until it’s fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Divide the cooked rice into bowls, top with the sliced chicken, and drizzle on any remaining marinade.
- Finish off your bowls by garnishing with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Marinate chicken overnight for best flavor; you can substitute chicken thighs with breast or tofu.
