Description

A delightful explosion of flavors with marinated chicken thighs served over fluffy rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they get fully coated. Let this sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until it’s fully cooked.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  5. Divide the cooked rice into bowls, top with the sliced chicken, and drizzle on any remaining marinade.
  6. Finish off your bowls by garnishing with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Marinate chicken overnight for best flavor; you can substitute chicken thighs with breast or tofu.
