Description
A light and airy Strawberry Mousse bursting with fresh flavor, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons gelatin (optional, for stability)
Instructions
- Start by pureeing the strawberries in a blender. Then, mix in the sugar and lemon juice until smooth and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the vanilla extract until you form soft peaks.
- If using gelatin, dissolve it in a little warm water and let it cool slightly, then gently fold it into the strawberry puree.
- Next, carefully fold the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture, keeping as much air as possible.
- Finally, spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh strawberries. Don’t overwhip the cream, and ensure proper chilling for optimal texture.
