Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker and pour the soy sauce mixture over the top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  4. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred it into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions for an added pop of color and freshness.
