Description
A comforting and cheesy pasta dish filled with ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan that is perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 manicotti noodles
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, for topping
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the manicotti noodles according to the package instructions. Drain them well and set them aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Use a spoon or piping bag to fill each manicotti noodle with the cheese mixture. Don’t worry if it gets a bit messy—that’s all part of the fun!
- Spread a thin layer of spaghetti sauce at the bottom of a baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Place the filled manicotti in the dish and cover them generously with the remaining spaghetti sauce.
- Top it all off with additional shredded mozzarella cheese for that ultimate melty goodness.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. You might want to keep an eye on it to avoid over-browning.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. This brief pause allows the cheese to set just right!
Notes
Pairs well with a fresh salad and garlic bread. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for extra flavor.
