Description

A simple yet delicious Margherita pizza topped with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil, then stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Roll out the dough to your desired thickness on a baking sheet.
  7. Spread the tomato sauce over the dough.
  8. Place mozzarella slices evenly on top.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a pizza stone and allow the pizza to cool slightly before slicing.
