Description

Crispy shrimp tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce, perfect for casual meals or lively gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Bang Bang Sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Soak the shrimp in the buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix the panko breadcrumbs, flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Dredge the shrimp in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  7. Toss the fried shrimp with Bang Bang sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with extra Bang Bang sauce for dipping and garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
