- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the sliced sausage until browned and crispy, about 5 minutes.
- Add diced bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning for an even flavor.
- Pour in the pasta and add enough water to cover it. Bring to a boil and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
- Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and cheese until creamy and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
