Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the sliced sausage until browned and crispy, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add diced bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in Cajun seasoning for an even flavor.
  5. Pour in the pasta and add enough water to cover it. Bring to a boil and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and cheese until creamy and heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
