- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake your meatballs in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through and golden brown.
- Heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and let them simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Cut the hoagie rolls in half and lightly toast them in the oven or on a skillet.
- Place the meatballs in each toasted roll and top generously with mozzarella cheese.
- Pop the assembled subs back into the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
