Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.

  4. Bake your meatballs in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and let them simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Cut the hoagie rolls in half and lightly toast them in the oven or on a skillet.
  7. Place the meatballs in each toasted roll and top generously with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Pop the assembled subs back into the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra indulgence, serve with crispy French fries or a light salad. You can also use different types of cheese for variation.
