- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
- 1 cucumber, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper until everything is well combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are fully cooked and golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki by combining the Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Serve the meatballs warm, alongside a generous scoop of tzatziki sauce.
Notes
These meatballs are great served with warm pita bread or over rice. They also freeze well for longer storage.
