- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz pepperoni slices
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup low-sugar pizza sauce
- 1 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
- Optional: 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- Optional: 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Optional: chopped mushrooms or spinach
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Drain the beef using a paper towel-lined colander to remove excess grease.
- Return the beef to the skillet (off heat) and stir in the softened cream cheese and pizza sauce.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the greased baking dish.
- Top with the diced bell peppers, shredded mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni slices.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbling and golden.
- Broil for 2 minutes for a crispy top, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
